Tasks of the working activity:
-
To perform analysis of academic literature and patents.
2.
To measure spectrum of
absorption and fluorescence in various environments or in a solid
state
3.
To compare spectral
characterizations of the researched substances, to select the most
perspective fluorophores.
In the beginning of
commencement of the activity and also in later stages, the latest
academic works and patents will be analyzed.
It is planned to
investigate fluorescence peculiarities of compounds obtained in
activity No.2 in different solvents (in different concentrations),
in polymer matrixes and in a condensated condition. With
spectrophotometrical and spectrofluorometrical methods the
corresponding spectra will be taken, wherefrom such important
properties of fluorescent dyes as molar extinction coefficients,
fluorescence quantum yields, Stokes shifts will be calculated.
Then it is planned
to compare the obtained data with properties of fluorescent probes
described in literature and used in commerce in order to make a more
perspective selection of pigments for fluorescent material and
method development within the activities No. 4–7. We will use the
obtained data also in activity No. 8 for comparison of optical
property modeling results, as well as for development of a
database.
